Q. How did you get into music?
A. I got into music during quarantine. I was watching videos of Travis Scott performing live and saw how the crowd of over 80,000 were moving to one singular person on stage. I thought to myself “I can do this too.” I started writing and now here I am as Social Ice.

Q. How does your creative process work while you're writing music?
A. My creative process to writing music is first understanding the beat and creating a melody. The hook always comes first. Once the hook is created, its all about the flow of the song. Switching so it creates a more captivating listen.
Q. How do you choose which tracks to include on an album?
A. I write songs every day. I listen to all these songs and think “could I hear this on the radio?” If a song doesn’t feel complete, I will not publish it. This is how I determine which songs are on the album.
Q. How do you manage your personal life with your musical career?
A. My personal life is heavy. School, work, family, friends, and being a basketball coach. Music fits in once I get everything situated. Once I have the night off to myself, I spend it writing and perfecting my craft.

A. My proudest musical achievement so far is hitting 100,000 streams on my song Roll The Dice.

Q. How do you strike a balance between your artistic vision and the demands of the industry?
A. The balance I have between what is wanted and what I want is to never let the industry define me. I am my own being and they will need to learn to accept me for that.

Q. What is your advice to aspiring musicians?
